Azerbaijani writer Meyxoş Abdullah Featured in Cultural Polish Press

Azerbaijani writer Meyxoş Abdullah has announced joyful literary news from Poland, marking a new milestone in cross-cultural literary exchange between Azerbaijan and Poland.

According to Abdullah, Musa Çaxarxan Çaxorovski—head of the press service of the Muslim Religious Union in the Republic of Poland, journalist, poet, translator, prose writer, and editor-in-chief of Tatar Review—has dedicated a substantial section of the magazine to the Azerbaijani author’s work.

The featured publication includes an exclusive interview with Meyxoş Abdullah conducted by writer and translator Təranə Məmməd, as well as Abdullah’s short story Altıncı mərtəbə (“The Sixth Floor”), translated into Russian by translator Leyla Qədirzadə.

In a remarkable act of literary collaboration, Musa Çaxarxan Çaxorovski personally translated both the interview and the story from Russian into Polish, making Abdullah’s work accessible to Polish readers.

Expressing his gratitude, Meyxoş Abdullah warmly thanked his longtime friend and colleague for this generous and selfless contribution to literary dialogue, emphasizing the significance of such cultural bridges in bringing Azerbaijani literature to a broader international audience.

This publication in Tatar Review represents another important step in strengthening literary and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Poland, while highlighting the growing global interest in contemporary Azerbaijani storytelling.
