The Arab World: Bridging Heritage and the Future – International Leaders to Explore New Horizons of Cooperation at the First World Public Summit in Amman

AMMAN, JORDAN – November 10, 2026 – The Arab world’s role in shaping the future of international relations, strengthening intercultural dialogue, and building sustainable partnerships will be at the center of the Main Plenary Session of the First World Public Summit: Arab World, scheduled for November 10, from 10:30 to 12:00 at Signia by Hilton Amman.

Entitled “The Arab World: Bridging Heritage and the Future,” the session will bring together distinguished international academics, political thinkers, public diplomacy leaders, and religious representatives to examine the region’s civilizational contributions and its potential to advance global cooperation.

The plenary session is designed to establish the strategic framework for the Summit’s discussions, connecting historical and spiritual heritage with contemporary challenges and future opportunities. It will emphasize the importance of preserving cultural identity while encouraging educational development, humanitarian cooperation, youth engagement, and direct people-to-people relations.

The Arab World in a Changing International Landscape

The Arab world represents one of humanity’s major civilizational spaces, distinguished by its rich intellectual, cultural, and spiritual traditions and its longstanding connections with Asia, Africa, Europe, and other regions.

Against the background of rapid global transformation, the session will explore how these historical connections and shared values can become practical resources for international cooperation.

Among the principal questions will be the role of Arab countries in shaping a common global future, the contribution of cultural and spiritual heritage to sustainable development, and the possibilities of establishing new partnerships between the Arab world, Eurasia, Asia, and other international regions.

Particular attention will be given to public diplomacy as an instrument for strengthening mutual understanding beyond official governmental relations, creating opportunities for citizens, intellectuals, educational institutions, and civil society organizations to participate in international dialogue.

International Moderators

The plenary discussion will be moderated by two distinguished figures:

  • Alexander Ageev (Russia), General Director of the International Research Institute for Management Problems (IRIMP), member of the General Council and Chairman of the Scientific and Expert Council of the World Peoples Assembly, and member of the Club of Rome.
  • Samir Habashneh (Jordan), Secretary-General of the Arab Peace Group and Deputy Chairman of the Royal Committee for Political Modernization.

Their complementary experience in international research, political modernization, and peacebuilding will provide a broad framework for the exchange of ideas.

Distinguished International Speakers

The session will feature prominent representatives of different intellectual and cultural traditions:

  • Fidel Antonio Castro-Smirnov (Cuba), Academician of the Cuban Academy of Sciences and Deputy Secretary-General of the World Peoples Assembly.

  • Gnaka Lagoké (USA), Associate Professor of Pan-Africana Studies, Chair of the Pan-Africana Studies Department at Lincoln University, and Founder of the Ubuntu Philosophy Foundation.

  • Youssef Al-Hassan (UAE), former Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1972–1980), author, and thinker.

  • Father Gerasimos Tashman (Jordan), Representative of the Patriarchate of the Orthodox Church in Jordan.

The diversity of the speakers reflects the Summit’s commitment to bringing together perspectives from different geographical regions, academic disciplines, political experiences, and spiritual traditions.

A Shared Future Through Dialogue and Partnership

A central theme of the discussion will be the responsibility of younger generations in shaping the future architecture of international cooperation. Participants will consider how education, cultural exchange, and new forms of public engagement can empower young people to become active contributors to a more peaceful and interconnected world.

Ultimately, the plenary session seeks to move beyond discussions of historical heritage toward a forward-looking vision in which cultural identity becomes a foundation for openness, cooperation, and shared progress.

Through this international gathering, the First World Public Summit: Arab World aims to reaffirm the Arab world’s potential as a bridge between civilizations and a constructive partner in building a future based on mutual respect, human values, and international solidarity.
