From Russia to Humanity: Alexandra Ochirova’s Russian Cosmism: Memory Brings Author, Translator and Intellectual Dialogue Together in Amman

AMMAN, JORDAN – November 9, 2026

The First World Public Summit: Arab World will host a special literary and philosophical presentation of Russian Cosmism: Memory, the multilingual book by distinguished Russian poet and international cultural figure Dr. Alexandra Ochirova, bringing together the author, Egyptian translator Dr. Ashraf Aboul-Yazid, and Russian writer and philosopher Andrey Yavny.

The event will take place on November 9, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Signia by Hilton Amman, offering an opportunity for an international audience to discover a significant dimension of Russian intellectual heritage through literature, philosophy, and cultural exchange.

Alexandra Ochirova is Co-chair of the Supreme Consultative Council of the World Peoples Assembly, a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, and a member of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO. Her cultural and intellectual work reflects a longstanding commitment to international dialogue and the promotion of shared human values.

Her book, Russian Cosmism: Memory, published in Russian, Arabic, and English, introduces readers to a philosophical tradition concerned with humanity’s relationship with the universe, scientific knowledge, the future of civilization, and the moral responsibilities of human beings. Through the central theme of memory, the work explores the connections between individual experience, collective identity, historical consciousness, and humanity’s common destiny.

The Arabic translation by Dr. Ashraf Aboul-Yazid, Egyptian poet, novelist, journalist, and international literary translator, gives this intellectual work a new cultural home. His contribution continues his efforts to bring the literary and philosophical achievements of different nations into Arabic, building bridges between cultures through translation. As founder and editor of The Silk Road Literature Series in Cairo, he has consistently promoted literature as a means of international understanding.

The discussion will also feature Andrey Yavny, Advisor to the Chair of the General Council of the World Peoples Assembly, writer, and Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, whose philosophical perspective will enrich the exploration of the book’s ideas and intellectual significance.

Bringing the author and translator together with a philosophical and critical perspective makes this presentation more than a conventional book launch. It becomes a conversation about how ideas cross linguistic boundaries, how translation gives literature new lives, and how cultural memory contributes to humanity’s shared intellectual heritage.

Presented within the broader framework of the First World Public Arab Summit, the gathering carries a message that extends beyond national borders: From Russia… A Message for Humanity.

It celebrates the enduring power of books to connect civilizations, inspire dialogue, and remind us that, despite our different languages and histories, humanity shares one future.
