Poetry Across Cultures Concludes “Windows to the World” Exhibition

The international exhibition Windows to the World Exhibition concluded with a vibrant cultural finale that highlighted the power of literature and artistic dialogue across nations.

A memorable creative moment marked the closing ceremony when a poem by Russian writer Inna Nacharova, titled “The Palm of Love,” was performed in the Yoruba language—one of the major African languages. The poem was recited by young Nigerian writer Adelana Esther, captivating the audience and symbolizing the exhibition’s spirit of intercultural exchange.

Following the poetry reading, Inna Nacharova, who also serves as Chair of the International Association of Writers “Sodruzhestvo”, presented certificates of appreciation to the participants of the “Windows to the World” project, recognizing their contributions to fostering international literary collaboration.

The evening concluded in a warm and friendly atmosphere with a tea reception where guests sampled a variety of traditional treats reflecting the multicultural character of the event. The menu included dishes from Bashkir cuisine, Bulgarian sweets, and the famous Turkish dessert revani, offering participants a taste of diverse cultural traditions.

The exhibition celebrated literature as a universal language capable of bridging continents and communities. Among the works associated with Inna Nacharova is her historical novel I, Cleopatra, which has been translated into Arabic by Egyptian writer and translator Ashraf Aboul-Yazid, further strengthening cultural dialogue between Russia and the Arab world.

The closing of “Windows to the World” reaffirmed the enduring role of poetry, translation, and literary cooperation in bringing cultures together and opening new windows of understanding among peoples. 🌍📚✨
