World Peoples Assembly Scientific and Expert Council Brings Global Initiatives to the Arab World: From Vision to Joint Programs and Projects

AMMAN, JORDAN – November 10, 2026 – Addressing the major challenges shaping humanity’s future requires more than political dialogue and individual initiatives; it demands scientifically grounded solutions, international cooperation, and the collective expertise of different nations. This central message will guide a high-level panel session of the Scientific and Expert Council of the World Peoples Assembly, taking place during the First World Public Summit: Arab World in Amman.

Entitled “From Vision and Initiatives to Joint Programs and Projects,” the session will be held on November 10, from 13:30 to 14:30, at Signia by Hilton Amman. It will bring together prominent scientists, academics, political figures, historians, and international experts to discuss practical approaches to global challenges and the implementation of shared international initiatives.

Seventeen Global Initiatives: A Framework for International Cooperation

The session builds on the work of the Scientific and Expert Council, particularly the development of 17 global initiatives presented, discussed, and supported through a series of international gatherings.

These initiatives emerged from the First World Public Assembly in September 2025, as well as the World Public Summits held in India, Brazil, and Ethiopia in 2026, and the Second World Public Assembly in 2026.

Presented within the framework of the report “17+: Global Initiatives,” these proposals address some of the most pressing issues of the 21st century, including sustainable development, global governance, human rights, freedoms and responsibilities, emerging technologies, and international scientific, educational, cultural, business, and humanitarian cooperation.

The Amman session aims to advance the practical implementation of these initiatives, establish a regional community of the Scientific and Expert Council in the Arab world, and identify new opportunities for collaboration between Arab institutions and international partners.

Five Strategic Areas for Discussion

The programme will focus on five interconnected dimensions of global transformation.

1. Geopolitics and International Security

Participants will examine the need for new international security frameworks and stronger multilateral dialogue in an increasingly multipolar world. Particular attention will be given to restoring confidence in international relations and strengthening the role of international law in resolving disputes.

2. Ecology and Sustainable Development

Food, water, and energy security will be examined alongside the challenge of reconciling technological progress with environmental protection and the preservation of natural ecosystems.

3. Technology and Humanity’s Future

The ethical and social implications of artificial intelligence, genome editing, digital sovereignty, and the digital divide will be discussed, including the need to prevent emerging technologies from creating new forms of inequality.

4. Humanitarian Values and Cultural Diversity

The discussion will explore how cultural and civilizational diversity can be protected in an increasingly interconnected world, while identifying shared human values capable of strengthening global solidarity. The contribution of spiritual and religious institutions will also receive attention.

5. The Economy of the Future

Participants will consider alternative economic models based on creativity, harmony, and social responsibility, as well as the contribution of responsible businesses and emerging financial institutions to addressing global challenges.

International Moderators and Distinguished Speakers

The session will be moderated by:

  • Alexander Ageev (Russia), General Director of the International Research Institute for Management Problems (IRIMP), member of the General Council and Chairman of the Scientific and Expert Council of the World Peoples Assembly, and member of the Club of Rome.

  • Hind Abu Al-Sha’ar (Jordan), Member of the Jordanian Senate.

The distinguished speakers include:

  • Hélène Perroud (France), Political scientist, historian, and public figure.

  • Fidel Antonio Castro-Smirnov (Cuba), Academician of the Cuban Academy of Sciences and Deputy Secretary-General of the World Peoples Assembly.

  • Adnan Badran (Jordan), Former Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (2005) and former Deputy Director-General of UNESCO (1990–1998).

  • Amr Ezzat Salama (Egypt), Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, member of the Supreme Advisory Council of the World Peoples Assembly, and Doctor.

  • Gnaka Lagoké (USA), Associate Professor of Pan-Africana Studies, Chair of the Pan-Africana Studies Department at Lincoln University, and Founder of the Ubuntu Philosophy Foundation.

From Intellectual Vision to Practical Results

The panel represents an important step in connecting scientific expertise with public diplomacy and international decision-making. Its objective extends beyond exchanging ideas to establishing mechanisms for transforming global initiatives into regional and international programmes.

By bringing together expertise from the Arab world, Europe, Africa, and the Americas, the Scientific and Expert Council seeks to strengthen intellectual partnerships and encourage solutions based on shared responsibility.

The central message of the session is that humanity’s future cannot be shaped by isolated efforts. It requires collective knowledge, ethical leadership, scientific innovation, and sustained cooperation among nations. Amman will provide a platform for turning this shared vision into practical programmes and projects serving the common future of humanity.
