A Journey into the World of Dreams and Love of Poems Written by Ashraf Aboul-Yazid
The Kazan Poetry Theatre “Dialogue” is proud to announce the premiere of its new poetic performance, “Egyptian Nights”, to be held on May 20 at 16:00 at the K. Vasiliev Museum.
Inspired by the timeless magic of the “One Thousand and One Nights” and the deeply lyrical “Sixty Love Letters for Her” by renowned Egyptian poet Ashraf Aboul-Yazid ( Ashraf Dali), this production promises to transport audiences into a world where love, mystery, and destiny intertwine beneath the eternal stars of the Orient. The evocative verses have been beautifully rendered into Russian by the gifted translator and poet Eldar Akhadov, whose work preserves the delicate fragrance of the original text.
The vivid tapestry of “Egyptian Nights” is brought to life by a distinguished cast: Olga Budrina, Yulia Guryanova, Nelli Kamaleeva, Rafael Khafizov, and Vera Chernyshova
The performance is directed by the acclaimed Irina Sokolova, whose visionary approach lends a fresh yet authentic spirit to the ancient tales. The artistic guidance of Olga Levadnaya ensures that every nuance of this poetic journey is imbued with grace and depth.
“Egyptian Nights” is not merely a play—it is an invitation to dream, to rediscover forgotten emotions, and to listen to the whispers of the soul across centuries. Join us for an unforgettable evening where the treasures of Eastern storytelling merge with the living breath of modern poetry.
