Kolkata, August 2025 — This Sunday, 24th August 2025, from 5:00 pm onward, literature lovers are invited to an inspiring evening celebrating the creativity, courage, and voices of women writers from Mumbai and Kolkata. The event, titled “Voices & Visions of Women Writers”, will be hosted at the Art Gallery – Penprints, P-925 Lake Town, Kolkata-700089.
Organized by Penprints Publication at their event zone Kalakaksha, the evening will present ‘Sheroes in Stanzas’, three sessions by women writers, poets and singers. The event will be presided by Sreetanwi Chakraborty, the Editorial Director of Penprints Publication
The program unfolds across three sessions:
First Session: Threads of Her Voice
Featuring Paramita Mukherjee Mullick, Sutanuka Ghosh Roy, Paulami Sengupta, Madhu Sriwastava, Mandakini Bhattacherya, Monami Nag, Sannhita Bandyopadhyay, Sarbani Chakravarti, with a special song and poem by Sanghita Sanyal.
Second Session: Her Word, Her World
With Sohini Sen, Kaberi Chattopadhyay, Anindita Bose, Anasuya Bhar, Annapurna Palit, Chandrika Banerjee Dhar, Gopa Bhattacharjee, Oindrila Bhattacharya, Ratna Guha Mustafi, Runa Srivastava, and a song and poem by Rima Nath.
Third Session: Tongues of Fire
Highlighting voices of Navamalati Neog Chakravarty, Ruma Chakraborty, Aisee Chattopadhyay, Oishee Biswas, Somolekha, Urvashi Mukherjee, Saman Rizvi, and Sangdipta Bhattacharyya.
The evening will conclude with remarks and a reading by Sreetanwi Chakraborty.
This gathering of women writers promises to be a celebration of words, resilience, and artistic vision—a meeting point where voices intertwine to create new literary horizons.
