Korean Egyptian Development Association (KEDA) Strengthens Bilateral Cooperation with Egyptian Embassy in Korea

 Seoul — Professor Kang Wong Sik, Chairperson of the Korean Egyptian Development Association (KEDA), paid an official visit today to the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Republic of Korea, accompanied by key advisors and senior members of KEDA. The visit underscores KEDA’s ongoing commitment to deepening strategic, cultural, and economic cooperation between Korea and Egypt.

During the visit, Prof. Kang and the KEDA delegation met with H.E. Mr. Hazem Zaki, Ambassador of Egypt to Korea, along with his deputy and embassy staff. The meeting was marked by a spirit of mutual respect and forward-looking dialogue, culminating in a shared agreement to enhance cooperation in ways that serve the national interests of both countries.

As part of the exchange, Prof. Kang presented Ambassador Hazem Zaki with a copy of the Korean edition of the biography of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, highlighting the importance of cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and people-to-people diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations. The gesture reflected KEDA’s belief in the power of knowledge, leadership narratives, and cultural dialogue to bridge nations.

The discussions explored opportunities for collaboration across multiple sectors, including development cooperation, academic and cultural exchange, economic partnership, and long-term strategic dialogue. Both sides emphasized the value of institutional cooperation between civil society organizations and diplomatic missions in advancing sustainable bilateral relations.

Founded to promote Korea–Egypt cooperation, KEDA works as a platform connecting policymakers, academics, business leaders, and cultural figures. The Association actively supports initiatives in development, education, technology transfer, and cultural understanding, positioning itself as a catalyst for constructive engagement between the two countries.

KEDA officials praised Ambassador Hazem Zaki for his professionalism, insight, and energetic diplomatic presence, noting that such leadership plays a vital role in advancing Korea–Egypt relations.
