The President of the World Organization of Writers (WOW), Margarita Al, has officially announced that the Third World Writers’ Congress will take place in Curitiba, Brazil, from July 23 to 25, 2026.
In her message to members and colleagues around the world, Margarita Al shared her enthusiasm for the upcoming event, saying:
“Dear friends and colleagues! Greetings! I’m glad to be able to greet you in English. Very soon, I will publish the WOW work plan for 2026. And I’d like to share with you some good news from our colleagues in Brazil. The Third World Writers’ Congress will take place July 23–25, 2026, in Curitiba, a city of over 3.7 million people, the capital of the state of Paraná, located 800 km from Rio de Janeiro.”

The upcoming Curitiba Congress will continue this tradition by providing a platform for discussions on the role of literature in a rapidly changing world, emphasizing cross-cultural understanding, peacebuilding through the arts, and the power of the written word to inspire collective progress.
Margarita Al noted that the official WOW work plan for 2026 will soon be released, outlining upcoming initiatives, partnerships, and global programs leading to the Congress in Brazil.
