The newly opened pavilion showcases a curated collection of books representing diverse voices in contemporary and classical literature. The special presentation and exhibition had books authored by winners of the World Organization of Writers (WOW) Awards. Their books, reflecting diverse cultures, languages, and artistic visions, were officially exhibited and donated to the Russian House Library. Margarita Al unveiled her latest avant-garde poetry collection, ApriorUm, a trilingual edition in Russian, English, and Arabic, released this month in Cairo as part of the “Silk Road Literature Series published by the Egyptian Publishinghouse Al Nasher The collection reflects her continued exploration of poetic form and philosophical depth, bridging languages and cultures in a single artistic gesture.
Dr. Ashraf Aboul-Yazid (Ashraf Dali) also presented a rich selection of his authored and translated works. Among his original writings were his children’s poetry book The Poet, his novel 31, and his travel literature titles, including Ayyam Dimashqiyya (Damascene Days) and A River on Travel.
His translation projects further highlighted his dedication to literary exchange, featuring works such as the folk tale by Abdulla Tukay, The Lake Mermaid and the Golden Comb; The Sixth Floor, a collection of Azerbaijani short stories byMeyxoş Abdullah; the anthology Four Poets from Taiwan; Four Poets on the Silk Road; and Far-Off Saint by the Korean poet and monk Cho-Oh Hyon.
