We are not the children of Hongaza in Tanzania
Whereas we are the playful children of Gaza.
We were ruled by the then mighty
British upto nineteen forty eight,
Passed on to Egypt in Forty Nine.
We were occupied by Israel in Sixty Seven.
We are the victims of failed promises of
Autonomy in Seventy Four and Ninety Three accords.
Our City of Gaza was one of the
Five Philistine City-Kibgdoms,
Hence we are all Princes and Princesses,
Call us the Birds of Paradise!
But now we are running for cover and safety,
Unlike the onlookers you all!
The Developed Nations are sympathy makers,
Developing Nations, fake meek supporters
All Underdeveloped Nations are deemed dictionary by-hearters,
World Nations’ Body, running smoke in bodice!
Hurt are the sentiments of we, the innocent children,
But seeing all these mischevious actions,
Above, there, is One…
Who will dictate terms in apt times!

لسنا أبناء هونغازا في تنزانيا
بل نحن أطفال غزة المرحون
لقد حكمنا البريطانيون في السابق
حتى عام 1948،
ثم نُقلنا إلى مصر سنة 1949
واحتلتنا إسرائيل في عام 1967
نحن ضحايا الوعود الفاشلة
في الاتفاقيتين الرابعة والسبعين والثالثة والتسعين.
مدينتنا غزة كانت واحدة من خمس ممالك فلسطينية،
لذا نحن جميعًا أمراء وأميرات،
نادونا ب “طيور الجنة”!
لكننا الآن نركض بحثًا عن مأوى وأمان،
على عكسكم أيها المشاهدون !
الدول المتقدمة تظهر الشفقة،
أمّا الدول النامية، فداعمون مزيّفون،
وكل الدول المتخلفة لا تتعدى كونها شعارات في القواميس،
أمّا هيئة الأمم المتحدة، فصدى الدخان يتصاعد منها!
لقد جُرحت مشاعرنا نحن، الأطفال البرياء،
ولكن مع رؤية كل هذه الأفعال الشريرة،
في الأعلى هناك، يوجد واحد…
هو من سيملي الشروط في الوقت المناسب!
