The festival opened with the presentation and public reading of the anthology on exile, published by Éditions Constellations, bringing together diverse voices and powerful narratives that reflect the experience of displacement and the power of words to rebuild belonging.
A highlight of the event was the joint reading and book signing of three poets, including the release of a personal poetry collection by one of the featured authors, published by Éditions du Cygne, offering moments of intimacy, reflection, and lyrical beauty.
In an emotionally charged gathering, the festival honored Djemila Benhabib, a beacon of courage and advocacy, with a Diploma of Honor for her activism. This recognition came alongside a warm literary reunion, as Benhabib had previously been interviewed twice by the association.
Adding depth and brilliance to the theme, Professor Salim Mokaddem delivered a thought-provoking conference on poetry and exile, leaving the audience enriched and inspired by his philosophical and poetic insights.
To close the celebration on a lyrical note, Nour Cadour enchanted attendees with a soul-stirring recital, weaving words and melodies into a mesmerizing performance that echoed long after the final applause.
While not all moments were captured on camera, the spirit of “La Tour Poétique” resonated through every word, gesture, and gathering — a collective testament to the transformative power of literature.
Special thanks to all participants, speakers, guests, and supporters who made this event a celebration of art, resistance, and poetic light.
