
Poet Fernando Rendón, General Coordinator and Co-founder of the World Poetry Movement (WPM), announced that poets from 68 countries have confirmed their participation in the Global Poetry Action for Palestine, organized in solidarity with Gaza on May 15, June 28, and June 29, 2025. The number is open and it is expected to exceed 100 countries.
Participating countries include: Vietnam, China, Palestine, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Iran, Indonesia, Malaysia, Jordan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Qatar, Iraq, Tajikistan, Brunei, Oman, South Africa, Egypt, Niger, Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria, Lesotho, São Tomé, Togo, Sudan, Angola, Tunisia, Russia, Greece, Belgium, Scotland, Wales, Italy, Spain, Portugal, England, Turkey, Switzerland, Ireland, Azerbaijan, Cuba, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Bolivia, Martinique, Peru, Barbados, Haiti, Puerto Rico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Argentina, Paraguay, Honduras, the United States, New Zealand, and New Caledonia.
