EN DEFENSA DE GAZA HASTA LA PRIMAVERA HUMANA
Achour Fenni nació en Sétif, Argelia, en 1957. Enseña Economía Política y Economía de la Información en la Universidad de Argel. Desde 2017 es Secretario General de la Maison Algerienne de Poésie. Director del proyecto de investigación “Atlas de la poesía argelina” en el Centro de Investigación en Antropología Social y Cultural CRASC.
Ha publicado cinco libros de poesía La flor de la vida, Argel, 1994: obra traducida al francés por Abdecelem Ikhlef y publicada por la Unión de Escritores Argelinos. También publicó el libro Un hombre de polvo, Argel, 2003; Inicio de la primavera, Entre dos ausencias, Te lo cuento. Ha realizado traducciones al árabe de textos escogidos de Rimbaud, Baudelaire, Eluard, Blake, y Whitman, entre otros autores. Sus poemas han aparecido también en las revistas: Amal (Argelia), El Jeel (Chipre) y Al hayet Ethaqafia (Túnez). Ha realizado diversas antologías de la poesía contemporánea argelina, y ha participado en varios festivales, entre ellos el Festival de la Poesía Magrebí y en el Festival de Poesía Árabe, en Rabat, Marruecos. Es coordinador de World Poetry Movement en su país.

Achour Fenni was born in Sétif, Algeria, in 1957. He teaches Political Economy and Information Economics at the University of Algiers. Since 2017, he has been Secretary General of the Maison Algerienne de Poésie. He is director of the “Atlas of Algerian Poetry” research project at the CRASC Center for Research in Social and Cultural Anthropology. He has published five books of poetry: The Flower of Life, Algiers, 1994: a work translated into French by Abdecelem Ikhlef and published by the Algerian Writers’ Union. He also published the books A Man of Dust, Algiers, 2003; The Beginning of Spring, Between Two Absences, and I’ll Tell You. He has translated selected texts by Rimbaud, Baudelaire, Eluard, Blake, and Whitman, among others, into Arabic. His poems have also appeared in the magazines Amal (Algeria), El Jeel (Cyprus), and Al hayet Ethaqafia (Tunisia). He has edited several anthologies of contemporary Algerian poetry and participated in several festivals, including the Maghrebi Poetry Festival and the Arab Poetry Festival in Rabat, Morocco. He is the coordinator of the World Poetry Movement in his country.
