Huu Viet nació en Hanoi, Vietnam, el 17 de agosto de 1963. Es poeta, periodista y traductor. Trabaja en el periódico Nhan Dan, como jefe de cultura y el departamento de artes. Pertenece al comité ejecutivo de la Asociación de Escritores de Vietnam. Se graduó de economista en la University de Kharcov (Antigua Unión Soviética), en 1986. Participó del Programa Internacional de la Escritura de la Universidad de Iowa, Estados Unidos, de agosto a noviembre de 2001.

Ha recibido varios premios de poesía de varios periódicos y revistas en Vietnam. En 2007, recibió el premio anual de la Asociación de escritores de Vietnam por su libro, Tieng Hat Trai Tim. Trabaja como periodista y es editor del periódico Tien Phong newspaper en Hanoi. Ha publicado, en poesía: Calle Lac Tien, 1994; Contando las estaciones, 1998; Poesía de cuatro (libro colectivo), 2000; Ojo de vaca, 2018. En prosa publicó Correo electrónico a las 0 en punto; y tradujo al vietnamés Canción del corazón, de Mattie Stepanek, 2006, y La historia de Ana (historia de Jenna Bush, 2009).

Huu Viet born in Hanoi, Vietnam, on August 17, 1963, he is a poet, journalist, and translator. He works at Nhan Dan newspaper as head of the culture and arts department. He is a member of the executive committee of the Vietnam Writers Association. He graduated with a degree in economics from Kharkiv University (former Soviet Union) in 1986. He participated in the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa, United States, from August to November 2001. He has received several poetry awards from various newspapers and magazines in Vietnam. In 2007, he received the Vietnam Writers Association’s annual award for his book, Tieng Hat Trai Tim. He works as a journalist and is the editor of the Tien Phong newspaper in Hanoi. His poetry has been published in the following volumes: Lac Tien Street, 1994; Counting the Seasons, 1998; Poesía de Cuatro (collective book), 2000; Ojo de Vaca (Vacation Eye), 2018. In prose, she published Email at 0 o’clock; and translated Song of the Heart by Mattie Stepanek into Vietnamese (2006), and Ana’s Story (story by Jenna Bush, 2009).
