
Almaty, Kazakhstan — The World Organisation of Writers (WOW) participated in a major international conference held in Almaty, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the publication of “AZ and I”, the landmark book by Olzhas Suleimenov, one of Kazakhstan’s most celebrated poets, thinkers, and cultural figures.

The event gathered distinguished scholars, writers, and cultural leaders from around the world to reflect on the historical and philosophical significance of “AZ and I”, a work that continues to inspire dialogue between Eastern and Western civilizations.

Margarita Al, President of the World Organization of Writers delivered an address emphasizing the enduring relevance of Suleimenov’s vision for intercultural understanding and literary cooperation. In her speech, she highlighted the importance of writers and intellectuals as bridges between nations and cultures in an increasingly interconnected world.
During the conference, the World Organization of Writers reached an important agreement on cooperation with the International Center for the Convergence of Cultures, operating under the aegis of UNESCO and headed by Olzhas Suleimenov. This partnership aims to promote joint cultural projects, international literary exchanges, and initiatives supporting peace and dialogue through literature.
