Presentation of Books by the World Organization of Writers at Tunisia International Book Fair

Days of the Assembly of the Peoples of the World in Tunisia:

As part of the Days of the Assembly of the Peoples of the World in Tunisia, a cultural event—the presentation of books by the World Organization of Writers—took place at the Russian House stand during the Tunis International Book Fair. This series of events created a space for dialogue and unity among representatives of different countries, cultures, and literary traditions.

One of the central highlights was the presentation of books by laureates of the WOW Prize. On April 24, works by Alexandra Vasilievna Ochirova were introduced. Several of her books were showcased at the Russian House stand, including Russian Cosmism, translated into English and Arabic; The Oath, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory; and her new book, Russian Cosmism. Memory, illustrated by Zurab Tsereteli and dedicated to the great artist.

Russian Cosmism. Memory is a philosophical and poetic work that continues the author’s concept of Russian cosmism as a holistic worldview addressing the ontological presence of humanity in the universe through memory. The book is dedicated to the memory and creative legacy of Zurab Konstantinovich Tsereteli, whose art has become part of the civilizational memory of the 20th and 21st centuries. Tsereteli’s illustrations included in the edition engage in a philosophical dialogue with the poetic texts, forming a unified space of meaning where visual art and poetry function as equal modes of understanding existence.

The творчество (creative work) of Alexandra Ochirova represents a philosophical and poetic reflection exploring the phenomenon of Russian cosmism. Her poetry continues the traditions of philosopher-poets such as Fyodor Tyutchev and Vladimir Solovyov, combining classical poetic forms with contemporary philosophical ideas. Konstantin Alexandrovich Kedrov, a poet and literary scholar, noted during one of her presentations in Moscow:

“The творчество of Alexandra Ochirova expands the traditions of Russian cosmism. In her poetry emerges a new perception of the 21st-century individual, who feels an inseparable connection between the self and the universe. This connection becomes a constant source of inspiration for the author. A philosophical view of the world helps organize the feelings given to us by nature.”

The presentation was hosted by Margarita Al, President of the World Organization of Writers, publisher of Ochirova’s books, and researcher of Russian cosmism. In her remarks, she stated:

“The poems of Alexandra Ochirova are a bridge between science and art, philosophy and poetry, guiding the reader toward an awareness of humanity’s place in the universe by uniting scientific knowledge, imaginative thinking, and deep spiritual experience.”

Also speaking at the event was Ashraf Dali, translator of Ochirova’s works into Arabic and English. He commented:

“The book Russian Cosmism. Memory is a poetic and philosophical reflection on the human being as a bearer of historical, cultural, and cosmic memory, and on the connection between individual consciousness and universal structures of time and meaning. It is intended for readers for whom philosophical lyricism is a special form of knowledge, where the poetic word becomes a tool for deep comprehension of the world through inner experience and imagery. Here, poetry organically complements philosophy, expressing key ideas not only through conceptual systems but also through vivid images. This conceptual-imagery synthesis allows the poetic text to be perceived as a space of philosophical thought, where categories of memory, being, and meaning acquire particular depth.”

The presentation brought together participants of the Assembly’s forum in Tunisia from various countries, including poets, translators, researchers, and admirers of poetry and philosophy, as well as attendees of the book fair and representatives of the Tunisian Writers’ Union.

The book Russian Cosmism. Memory and the entire poetic universe of Alexandra Ochirova naturally become part of the global cultural discourse, opening new horizons for dialogue among civilizations.
