Medellín, Colombia — Poetry once again affirmed its enduring role as a language of humanity during the Medellín International Poetry Festival, where writers, translators, and cultural ambassadors from five continents gathered to celebrate literature as a force for dialogue, empathy, and peace.
Australian – Vietnamese poet Vo Thi Nhu Mai reflected on the spirit of the festival through a series of observations that captured the essence of Medellín as more than a literary event—it is a meeting place where poetry restores the human connections often fractured by conflict, distance, and uncertainty.
