Global Call for Poems: “Hearts Poetry Connects Across Borders” Invites Poets to Explore the Awakening of the Soul

The Contemporary Literary Society of Amlor, Banda, Uttar Pradesh, India, in collaboration with Mewadev Granth Academy, Banda, is preparing to publish a new international poetry anthology under the theme “Hearts Poetry Connects Across Borders: Between Soul and Silence—The Awakening.” The forthcoming collection aims to bring together poets from different countries and cultural backgrounds, celebrating poetry as a universal language that transcends geographical boundaries, connects hearts, and gives voice to the deepest experiences of the human soul. Through this initiative, the organizers invite poets of all nationalities to contribute original, previously unpublished poems that explore the relationship between the soul and silence, the awakening of human consciousness, and the power of poetry to foster understanding, solidarity, and emotional connection across cultures.

Dr. Brajesh Kumar Gupta, known as Mewadev, will serve as Editor-in-Chief, with Dr. Naveen Kumar Upadhyay, Dr. Ashraf Aboul-Yazid, also known by his literary name Ashraf Dali, and Dr. Bindiya Rahi Singh joining the editorial board as editors. Dr. Ratan Ghosh will serve as Executive Editor. The international character of the project reflects the organizers’ commitment to creating a literary platform where diverse poetic voices can meet, share their visions, and contribute to a collective celebration of humanity through the written word.

Poets interested in participating are invited to submit five original, unpublished, and plagiarism-free poems, with each poem limited to approximately 150 words. Submissions must be accompanied by a poet’s biography of approximately 150 words and a high-resolution photograph suitable for publication. The invitation is open to poets of every nationality, offering writers an opportunity to reach readers beyond their own linguistic and national communities. The deadline for submissions is 25 November 2026.

According to the organizers, selected contributions will be published in the forthcoming anthology. The publication arrangements include a fixed honorarium for selected entries, although the announcement also specifies a contributory-copy arrangement, and prospective contributors should therefore confirm the applicable terms with the organizers before submitting. The stated participation arrangements are INR 1,000 for Indian poets, including two copies, and US$40 for international poets receiving one printed copy or US$10 for an electronic copy. The announcement also refers to a fixed honorarium of INR 1,000 for Indian poets and US$40 or US$10 for international poets, depending on the format; contributors are advised to clarify whether these amounts represent publication fees, honoraria, or different options.

With its central message that poetry builds bridges between souls, the anthology seeks to demonstrate how literary expression can unite people despite differences in language, nationality, and cultural experience. By bringing together unpublished works from poets worldwide, the Contemporary Literary Society of Amlor and Mewadev Granth Academy hope to create a collection that celebrates the transformative power of words, the dignity of individual voices, and the shared emotions that connect humanity. “Poetry is the bridge that connects soul to soul” serves as the guiding philosophy of this international literary initiative, inviting poets everywhere to contribute their voices to a dialogue that begins in silence and awakens through poetry.
