Hon. Oluwatayo Abisola, (JP) an All Progressives Congress (APC) leader in Akure South has refuted the claim in a publication that he was part of Leaders who endorsed aspirants for elective positions in Ondo State, particularly, Akure South Local Government Area of the state.
According to his rejoinder on the matter, Abisola claimed he was never a party to the purported claim in the publication.
According to him “I, Hon. Rev’d Oluwatayo Abisola (JP) wishes to inform our great Party All Progressives Congress (APC) and general members of the public that l am not a party to the purported endorsement of aspirants quoted in the recent publication of Roving Reporters dated 5th April, 2026.
“I equally want to state categorically that l didn’t attend any stakeholders meeting where such endorsement was decided. Any claims suggesting otherwise are false and misleading.
“All aspirants are our sons and daughters and committed members of our great party (APC) and l can’t descend so low to endorse some of them when our party primary is yet to take place, not to talk of being a signatory to the communique.
‘I am fully committed to the enabling law of electoral reform by choosing our candidates through consensus or direct primary process while every aspirants will be given a level playing ground.
“Lastly, my loyalty to our indefatigable Governor Hon. Dr. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa and our great Party APC is 100%. l distance myself from the purported endorsement and demand my name be removed among the Elders/Leaders associated with it” the statement read.
