Alexandra Ochirova, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, is one of the most significant voices in contemporary Russian poetry. Her Chinese poetry collection, Russian Cosmism (translated from English to Chinese), was published by The Earth Culture Press in March 2025.

The back cover features her poem The Universal Bell Is Bringing, while the second inner cover presents a bilingual biography with a color photograph of the poet. The third inner cover includes a bilingual biography and a color photograph of the translator.

This collection contains 106 of Alexandra Ochirova’s finest poems, spanning both her early and latest works. The book opens with a preface by Konstantin Kedrov and concludes with concise, insightful reviews by ten renowned poets from different countries, including Michael Lavery, a specialist in Slavic languages from the University of Maryland, who fine-tuned the tone of the English translation, making it understandable for an international reader, immersing them in the philosophy of space, where human consciousness and the Universe are inextricably linked and Ashraf Aboul-Yazid , the Egyptian poet and Editor-in-Chief of Silk Road Today, who translate Alexandra’s poems into Arabic, whose interpretation emphasizes Ochirova’s philosophical call for peace and the preservation of nature, recalling the importance of harmony and mercy, which runs like a red thread through her poetry, and allows the Arab world to connect to these eternal questions about the place of man in space and his connection with nature.

In the synopsis we read:

“Alexandra Ochirova reinterprets and reconstructs the ideas of this movement, delving into the depths of cosmic philosophy and humanity’s understanding within the context of the universe. Her poetry stands as a classic example of philosophical lyricism, addressing themes yet to be explored by contemporary philosophical thought. She advocates a return to the classical origins of philosophical reflection, emphasizing a human-centered approach, focusing on humanity’s place in the world and the cosmos, human potential, and the pursuit of purpose.”

The Russian Cosmism collection was translated into Chinese by the esteemed young Chinese scholar and translator Wang Yi, whose translation is both precise and natural. The book, in 16K format (170×240mm), consists of 144 pages. It features a 250g Dutch special card paper cover and 128g matte coated paper for the inner pages, offering an exquisite and elegant reading experience—worthy of both appreciation and collection.

Each copy is priced at $20 USD, with a special offer of 98 RMB (including free shipping) for buyers in mainland China. To purchase, please add Dr. Zhang Zhi on WeChat for payment: 13452083776. Alexandra Ochirova [Russia] author of  Russian Cosmism (collection of poems)

We fly above the city together

We fly above the city together.

All the sounds faded away

And I take your hands into mine

And my blood turns into fire.

We fly together above the city in silence.

The sunset covers the streets.

It is like a fairy-tale bird

Safeguarding its younglings.

We fly, your hand so close to mine,

The streets are hugging below us.

And my colored dress

Is mirrored in the river like stars.

And we fly like comets

Through a pearly window

And we phosphoresce from the light

That we give off beyond.

Everything is in motion. And I am with you forever

Everything is in motion. And I am with you forever.

This is my clear world where I am a grain of yours,

I am the blue wood and a thin grass-blade

Full of dew in the morning.

There, each day and each instant never repeat,

And I get my laughter, my pain, my cheerful tears,

And rain and snow and white birches –

All what I call with the name of yours.

And everything inside myself is filled with you.

Oh, it is great that life has touched me.

I was born – it was like I returned

To the place where I was. But I was a different one.

The spirit of times inside myself

Calls to where I stay yet

And I probably touched something

Or, may be, I just saw it in my dream.

The world is on the run. It overwatches the time.

And each day passes away just on time…

But the Universe winds the watch again.

Oh, it is great that there is life under the sun!

No one invented God. He just is

No one invented God. He just is.

The supreme good in all dimensions.

We accept both life and birth

As a priceless honor and gift.

Taste of temptations and ripe fruits,

Life is an irrepressible power and joy,

A windy aroma of blossoming gardens

Coming like an obsession from shadowy dreams.

Our blood awakens in the air,

With a voice of centuries encoded in it…

God gives communion to the world and love,

The world consists of stars and inflorescences.

And just because He just is

Irrespective of one’s eye and ear,

We accept birth and death

As an ordeal for one’s body and spirit.

Though I am a copy, I am mighty and proud

Of touching the feet of Universe

And both moving forward and reaching a deadlock

But never begging alms.

The wind is dancing the star

The wind is dancing the star

Above the earth that falls asleep.

And hundreds of thousands of kilometers

Are like a hand waving above the head.

The star hangs above an abyss

And it irradiates the clear light

That is like someone’s righteous thoughts

Amongst the mysterious planets.

The star is like a lantern above the clouds

That illumines the roof of heaven

And calls over all the angels

With its trembling rays.

The moon is over the Persian Gulf

The moon is over the Persian Gulf.

The namaz is over in the mosques.

And the light of the golden inundation

Touches us with its rays.

And the crown of a coming wave

Disappears somewhere close to our feet,

Just like the sea is counting

The traces of the past centuries.

And the music of moonlight

Like an echo of the namaz words

Flies from high minarets

Into the space of universal worlds.

      A vertical of ascending light

A vertical of ascending light

Is like a prayer flying up to the sky

Amongst the flourishing summer

And blessing the God-given days.

The birds are chirming into a jingling distance.

And my lonely look comes through the window.

Oh, please take away my pain and sadness,

The voice of an echo in my unconscious dream

Reflected in the rays of ascension

And a light flying away from the Earth

That takes its revelation

Into an abyss of mysterious stars and planets.

I dare say I do my best in loving

I dare say I do my best in loving

The luxury of Earth in the fussy turnover

And each dawn that comes from the thither bank

As the crown of being. Please, don’t believe

That someday Everything turns into Nihil,

With no illusions for extending the happiness

Of one’s endless days where the weather cyclicism

Means the perfection of love and God’s power.

On a summer eve,

the world is like a treatise of silence.

God saves everything that exists on Earth.

The chaos of thoughts

and darkness turns into dreams.

I bow down to Being with a horizon and a road.

Still, no one knows in detail

Both the cosmic forces and the divine words

That are present

on Earth as a prayer to one’s mind

And to the earth time and the universal laws.

       There is a limit empty

There is a limit empty

of the measurement sense

That is like Nihil or Everything or the voidness

Of non-returnable accuracy of an instant

When a blank sheet brings its revelation.

One can not add or subtract or multiply

A virtual eternal integral

That does not resemble any earthy matter

By any eternal excess.

And the above is the mystery

of the Divine Providence

And the absolute of ends and beginnings

Of the endless motion formula

And the unknowability of God.
