IFFRO CONGRATULATES PAWA, SEEKS CLOSER COLLABORATION

The Belgium based International Federation of Reproduction Rights Organisations (IFRRO) has sent a congratulatory message to the Pan African Writers Association ( PAWA) on its recent successful Council elections.
In a statement signed by IFFRO’s Secretary General and CEO, Anita Huss Ekerhult, the organization believed that the renewed mandate is a powerful reflection of the trust placed in the council’s vision by the literary community
across Africa and the diaspora.
According to her: ”As an international organisation dedicated to supporting authors, publishers, and the systems that enable
the lawful use of their works, IFRRO has long admired PAWA’s commitment to promoting African literary
voices and cultural exchange.

We firmly believe that stronger links between our organisations can make a lasting contribution to the development of sustainable copyright ecosystems across the continent.
We look forward to engaging with you to explore areas of shared interest and mutual support, from advocacy and licensing frameworks to education and public awareness”.
The online inauguration of the new PAWA Council has been fixed for Friday July 25 2025 @4pm GMT.
