Ko Un: Medellin has long been a capital city of poetry on earth.

Poeta laureado. Corea del Sur.

Medellin has long been a capital city of poetry on earth.

Medellin has been the most important international scene of poetry where poets around the world would long for attending at least once in their lifetime.

Poetry is a part of human nature. Medellin has made it as a festival and revealed it high and deep.

It would be a shame and disgrace to mankind if Medellin is going to be shut down,

I do hope that Medellin will remain as the plaza of poetry for the next one hundred years or five hundred years.

Ko Un. Laurate poeta. South Korea
