KEDA Hosts Farewell Luncheon Honoring H.E. Ambassador Khaled and Madam Dalia El-Gohary for Strengthening Korea-Egypt Relations.

Seoul, October 26, 2025 — The Korean Egyptian Development Association (KEDA) held a special farewell luncheon today in honor of His Excellency Mr. Khaled, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Korea, and his wife Madam Dalia El-Gohary, marking the conclusion of their distinguished diplomatic mission in Seoul.

The event, organized by KEDA, brought together prominent Korean dignitaries and key members of the association to express their appreciation for Ambassador Khaled’s exceptional contributions to advancing the friendship and cooperation between Korea and Egypt.

Among the distinguished guests were Dr. Oh the Senior Advisor to KEDA, Former Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Technology, and Dr .Lee is Honorary Chairman of KEDA and Former Minister of Industry and Trade and Energy, alongside twelve leading members of KEDA. The luncheon served not only as a gesture of gratitude but also as a reflection on the enduring partnership and mutual respect that have characterized the bilateral relationship during Ambassador Khaled’s tenure.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Oh commended Ambassador Khaled for his steadfast efforts in fostering deeper ties across trade, culture, and education. “Your Excellency has been a bridge between our nations, promoting dialogue and understanding that will continue to bear fruit for years to come,” he said.

Dr. Lee highlighted the growing economic and industrial collaboration between the two countries, noting that recent years have witnessed a surge in mutual investment and technological exchange. He added, “The Ambassador’s leadership and vision have strengthened the foundation for our future cooperation in innovation, green energy, and sustainable development.”

Ambassador Khaled expressed heartfelt gratitude to KEDA and the Korean government for their friendship and support throughout his posting. “Korea will always have a special place in our hearts,” he remarked. “Madam Dalia and I have witnessed not only the impressive achievements of this nation but also the warmth of its people. The partnership between Egypt and Korea is built on shared values, respect, and a common vision for development.”

Madam Dalia also shared personal reflections, expressing appreciation for the cultural exchange initiatives and people-to-people connections that have deepened the bonds between both nations.

KEDA Chairperson Prof. Kang delivered closing remarks, reaffirming the Association’s commitment to continuing the legacy of cooperation established under Ambassador Khaled’s leadership. “We are deeply thankful for the Ambassador’s dedication to promoting mutual prosperity,” Dr. Kim said. “KEDA remains devoted to nurturing new opportunities for collaboration in trade, culture, education, and technology.”
