The International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations “World Assembly of Peoples”, headquartered in Moscow, has officially extended an invitation to Dr. Ashraf Aboul-Yazid Secretary-General of the Congress of African Journalists (Egypt), to participate in a high-level International Round Table on “The Role of Media in Shaping the Global Civilizational Agenda and New Protocols for Humanitarian Modernization.”
The event will take place on 18 November 2025 in Moscow, under the auspices of the General Council of the Assembly.
In an era marked by multiple centers of global influence and rapidly evolving geopolitical realities, media organizations play an increasingly critical role—not merely as sources of information, but as powerful actors capable of shaping humanitarian discourse and fostering international understanding.
The upcoming round table aims to develop a consolidated vision of the new responsibilities and emerging functions of the media in a polycentric world. Through dialogue among representatives of global media, the blogosphere, international NGOs, professional journalism unions, and expert communities, the forum seeks to outline common principles and innovative mechanisms for humanitarian cooperation.

The official invitation, signed by Svetlana Leonidovna Khidirova, on behalf of the International Union, confirms Dr. Ashraf Aboul-Yazid’s visit to Moscow from 17 to 21 November 2025. His participation is highly anticipated, given his prominent role in promoting intercultural dialogue, journalistic integrity, and international media cooperation across Eurasia
