Respect India and World Peoples Assembly Sign Cooperation Agreement to Advance Global Humanitarian and Cultural Initiatives

New Delhi / Moscow —
In a significant step toward strengthening international humanitarian and cultural collaboration, Respect India and the World Peoples Assembly (WPA), Moscow, have officially signed a Cooperation Agreement, formalizing a partnership rooted in shared values and a common vision for global cultural dialogue.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Respect India by its President, Dr. Nirmal Gehlot—founder of Utkarsh Classes and a distinguished educationist dedicated to improving the lives of the public at large. Representing the World Peoples Assembly, the document was signed by Ms. Svetlana Smirnova, Chair of the WPA General Council.
This formal partnership is the natural outcome of a collaboration that began earlier during the joint preparations for an international cultural evening marking the 100th anniversary of legendary Indian actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor. Throughout that cooperation, both sides recognized a strong alignment in their approaches to humanitarian engagement, cultural exchange, and the promotion of shared human values through art and dialogue.
Following the success of this initial collaboration, representatives of Respect India and the World Peoples Assembly convened a working meeting at the Assembly’s headquarters in Moscow, where discussions deepened around long-term goals, ethical principles, and the scope of future cooperation. These exchanges confirmed the potential to expand joint efforts on a broader and more structured scale.
Commenting on the agreement, Dr. Nirmal Gehlot emphasized that the partnership reflects a commitment to building bridges between peoples through education, culture, and humanitarian action. He noted that the agreement provides a strong institutional framework for launching new initiatives, exchanging expertise, and developing impactful cultural and social programs.
The signed agreement now opens the door for joint planning of international projects, collaborative cultural and humanitarian programs, and sustained cooperation under an official partnership framework. Both organizations expressed confidence that this alliance will contribute meaningfully to intercultural understanding, peacebuilding, and the advancement of shared global values.
With this agreement, Respect India and the World Peoples Assembly reaffirm their belief that culture, education, and humanitarian cooperation remain powerful tools for uniting peoples and fostering a more inclusive and compassionate world.
