100 Libri d’Autore – Volume 2: An International Literary Journey Bringing 100 Authors and Their Books Together

Gioia Lomasti and Emanuele Marcuccio curate the second volume of the Italian cultural project, with Dr. Ashraf Aboul-Yazid coordinating its international section

The Italian literary initiative 100 Libri d’Autore (100 Authors, 100 Books) is embarking on a new chapter with the announcement of the first collection of titles selected for its second volume. Conceived as an international cultural project, the anthology seeks to bring together 100 authors and their books, creating a shared literary space in which different voices, languages, experiences, and creative visions can meet.

The project is curated by Italian literary figures Gioia Lomasti and Emanuele Marcuccio, whose commitment to promoting contemporary literature has given the initiative its distinctive cultural identity. For its international section, the project is being developed in collaboration with Dr. Ashraf Aboul-Yazid, Egyptian poet, novelist, translator, journalist, and editor, who is contributing to the connection with authors and literary works from beyond Italy.

The newly released poster offers the first visual presentation of the titles included in Volume 2. The books, represented by their covers in a carefully designed composition, form an initial gathering of literary works that will stand alongside those of distinguished and internationally recognized authors. The many spaces reserved for additional titles also suggest the expanding nature of this literary undertaking, as further books and authors join the collection.

More than a catalogue of publications, 100 Libri d’Autore aspires to create a meeting place for literature and cultural exchange. Its central vision is to encourage reading, introduce authors to new audiences, and promote the circulation of books as instruments of knowledge, dialogue, and collective enrichment. The project’s wider concept, as presented on its official website, also embraces cultural institutions, blogs, radio stations, and organizations working to disseminate literature and the arts.

The international dimension is especially significant. Through the collaboration with Ashraf Aboul-Yazid, the second volume opens its doors to literary voices from different countries and cultural traditions, strengthening the dialogue between Italian literature and the wider world. This partnership reflects the belief that literature has no fixed borders: a book written in one language can find new readers, new interpretations, and new life in another cultural environment.

The initiative is also distinguished by the cultural patronage of WikiPoesia, the Italian poetic encyclopaedia, whose support recognizes the project’s contribution to literary promotion. The poster additionally features the identity of Vetrina delle Emozioni, reflecting the project’s connection with platforms devoted to sharing literary expression and the emotional power of the written word.

With Volume 2, 100 Libri d’Autore continues to develop as a collaborative cultural journey—one that celebrates the individual achievement of each author while bringing their works into a larger international conversation. Every book represents a distinct creative world; together, these books form a mosaic of voices, ideas, memories, and imagination.

As the first selection is unveiled, the project sends a welcoming invitation to authors and readers alike: to discover books, encounter new voices, and recognize literature as one of humanity’s most enduring bridges across cultures.

One hundred authors. One hundred books. A world of stories brought together through the power of literature.
