Japanese Ambassador Ueno Atsushi Welcomes Natalia Tjahja Ahead of Asian Para Games Aichi Nagoya

Indonesia — His Excellency Ueno Atsushi, Ambassador of Japan to Indonesia, welcomed Natalia Tjahja, Founder of the Maria Monique Last Wish Foundation (MMLWF) and Creator of 100 CTFP (100 Celebrities Talk for Para Athletes), at a gathering held at the Japanese Ambassador’s residence in Jakarta ahead of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games.

Natalia was accompanied by Rita Pusponegoro, former President of WIC; Anita Djajadiningrat of WIC; Anita Rusdi, wife of Ahmad Rusdi, former Indonesian Ambassador to Thailand; Nur Asia Uno, wife of Sandiaga Uno, former Indonesian Minister of Tourism; and Suryo Pratomo, former Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore.

Ambassador Ueno welcomed Natalia in recognition of her role as the composer of the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) anthem, which will be performed at the opening ceremony of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games on 18 October 2026.

Natalia expressed her gratitude to Ambassador Ueno and the Embassy of Japan for preserving a book about the Maria Monique Last Wish Foundation for 15 years.

As the creator, director, and producer of the nonprofit film Movie Boccia, Natalia introduced the film, which highlights the struggles and achievements of boccia athletes from 10 countries, including Japan. She also expressed her appreciation for Indonesia’s outstanding achievements in boccia, including its success in becoming world champion. Ambassador Ueno likewise expressed his appreciation for Indonesia’s boccia achievements.

Natalia also introduced several prominent figures who have supported 100 CTFP, including:

*Suryo Pratomo*, the first ambassador in the world to support and launch 100 CTFP alongside Natalia in Singapore.

*Fadli Zon*, Indonesia’s Minister of Culture, the first minister in the world to support 100 CTFP. Natalia also expressed her gratitude to Inspector General Fryda Lucyana.

*Abdulla Rafiu*, Minister of Sports of the Maldives, the first sports minister in the world to launch 100 CTFP in his country.

*Raja Sapta Oktohari*, Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia), who has provided outstanding support for 100 CTFP.

Three Key Points Shared by Natalia
1. *Celebrating Tokyo as an Outstanding Inclusive City*
Natalia congratulated Tokyo on its outstanding achievements in inclusion, highlighting the score of 10.5 out of 10 awarded by Andrew Parsons, President of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).

2. *Remembering the Success of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games Under Andrew Parsons’ Leadership*
Natalia recalled the tireless efforts of Andrew Parsons, President of the IPC, in championing the happiness and achievements of Paralympic athletes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although postponed for one year, the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games were ultimately held with extraordinary success. The Games took place without general spectators and welcomed athletes from 162 countries, with strong support from Emperor Naruhito and Japan as the host nation.

In May 2025, Emperor Naruhito conferred *the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun* on Andrew Parsons in recognition of his outstanding contributions to making history in the Paralympic movement.

3. *Introducing 100 CTFP Through Two Message Cards Featuring Global Paralympic Figures*
Natalia introduced two 100 CTFP cards featuring messages from prominent figures in the global Paralympic movement: the card of Andrew Parsons( Father of 100 CTFP Worldwide), and the card of Miki Matheson.

Miki Matheson is a member of the IPC Governing Board, a Japanese Paralympic gold medallist, and an important figure in Japan’s Paralympic movement through her involvement with the Japan Paralympic Committee.

Through these two cards, Natalia introduced the spirit of 100 CTFP: sharing messages of support, friendship, and appreciation from prominent figures around the world for the dedication and struggles of Paralympic athletes worldwide.
