On His article

Journalistic Correspondents from the Future

Dear Ashraf,

I thank you for your insightful article, which so vividly reflects the spirit of our Second World Congress of Writers. Your words about the “journalists of the future” are not only a personal statement but the result of the collective work of the Congress, the outcome of reflections and decisions made during our eight round tables. It was there that we jointly defined that media is the most important instrument in building an honest and human-centered society, where the word ceases to be a weapon and becomes a compass.

Allow me to quote my words, spoken at the Congress and now becoming part of the manifesto of the World Organization of Writers:

“We know how it should not be. For too long, our attitude to the world has been built on negation. But negation is not yet truth, nor is it knowledge of how it should be. In fact, no one knows the answer. Therefore, our first motto is simple and inevitable: we are people of one planet. We are united, and our path is one.
Secondly — the writer is given the gift of the word. But it is not a reward, it is a duty, an obligation. The writer, as the moral compass of humanity, is capable of — and obliged to — write the history of our planet, the history of humankind. To write it in different languages, but with one breath, with love.”

Your words and our conclusions now sound as one chorus, pointing the way to the future. We can no longer remain merely witnesses of time — we become its creators. We must be the architects of trust, the guardians of values, and the authors of a new history of humanity.

That is why the outcomes of the Second World Congress of Writers are not just working documents — they are the flagships and the vector of WOW to the world.

With gratitude and respect,
Margarita Al
President of the World Organization of Writers (WOW)
