The sky through barbed wire.

The eyes of innocence are blind.

whom this world has hurt.

the guilt within themselves.

رأيتُ طفلًا خلف سياجٍ من الأسلاك
السماء من خلال الأسلاك الشائكة
هل ودّع العالم الجحيم؟
أم أن هذا الفضاء الواسع قطعة أرضٍ موروثة؟
عيون البراءة عمياء
لكننا رأينا الحقيقة، أليس كذلك؟!
وفي هذا اليوم أدركتُ،
إن الضمير، أيها الشاعر، لا يحق له أن يشكو
بل عليه أن يصمت.
أطفال فلسطين هم الزهور
التي جَرَحها هذا العالم.
وكلّ إنسانٍ يحمل
الذنب في داخله.
أطفالٌ خلف الأسلاك الشائكة
والعالم… غارقٌ في الدَّين.
