The Oyapock Magazine Announces New Poetry Anthology: Poets Do Not Die in Exile

Published by Éditions Constellations, in collaboration with Apulivre Association

The Oyapock Magazine is proud to announce the release of a powerful new collective work: Poets Do Not Die in Exile, now available from Éditions Constellations. This remarkable anthology gathers the voices of poets from around the world, many of whom have experienced exile — chosen or imposed — and turned it into a vital act of memory, resistance, and poetic expression.

The collection is coordinated by poet and translator Arwa Ben Dhia, with a preface by Amar Benhamouche, and was developed in partnership with the Apulivre Association. The contributors — emerging and established voices alike — reflect a deep and moving engagement with the themes of displacement, longing, and the reinvention of belonging.

Among the featured poets are:
James-Son Derisier, Rossiny Dorvil, Sandie Colas, Moëz Majed, Loran Kristian, Jonas Charlecin, Maggy De Coster, Mirela Cocheci, Moncef Chebbi, and James Junior Jean, alongside many others.

In Arwa Ben Dhia’s words:

“I have the great pleasure to announce the publication of the second collective work from Amar Benhamouche with Apulivre Association, directed by Éditions Constellations and centered on the subject of exile. Several talented poets contributed to this work, and I am thrilled to present it during our upcoming festival on Saturday, June 14th, in the late afternoon. Come get your signed copy!”

In a world marked by forced migrations, uprooted identities, and cultural resistance, Poets Do Not Die in Exile becomes a vital literary space. It speaks of memory and tenderness, of anger and hope — drawing a map of the inner landscapes we carry when we leave, and how poetry becomes a place to return to.

As one contributor, Julien Miavril, reflects:

Julien Miavril

“A huge thank you to Arwa Ben Dhia, Amar Benhamouche, and the entire Éditions Constellations team for this project of rare intensity. I’m honored to be part of this work alongside so many powerful and sensitive voices. Poets Do Not Die in Exile — a title that resonates like a cry, a promise, a fidelity to light even when everything trembles.”

This anthology stands as a vibrant tribute to all those who make poetry an act of resistance, memory, and love.
