Azerbaijani Writer Meyxoş Abdullah Honored in Literary Feature Published in “Shafaq” Magazine

Lankaran, Azerbaijan — The literary and cultural community celebrates a notable cross-cultural achievement as Azerbaijani short story writer Meyxoş Abdullah is the subject of a distinguished critical article titled “Painful Story About the Story of Pain,” authored by Professor Ahmed Olwani, Head of the Department of Arabic Language at Benha University, Egypt, and a renowned scholar in literary criticism and rhetoric.

The article has been published in “Shafaq” magazine, the literary, artistic, and publicist organ of the Lankaran Division of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union (AYB). This publication marks an important milestone in strengthening literary dialogue between Azerbaijan and the Arab world, highlighting the emotional depth and narrative power of Abdualla’s short stories.

Professor Olwani’s study offers a thoughtful and analytical reading of Abdualla’s work, shedding light on the thematic intensity and humanistic dimensions that characterize her storytelling. His engagement with her texts underscores the universal resonance of pain, memory, and identity as explored through her literary voice.

In response, Meyxoş Abdullah expressed her heartfelt appreciation to Professor Ahmed Olwani for his critical insight and for his efforts in translating her stories into Arabic, thus expanding their reach to new audiences. She also extended her sincere gratitude to Egyptian writer and cultural figure Dr. Ashraf Aboul-Yazid – who translated the collection of Meyxoş Abdullah’s short stories into Arabic – for his continuous support of intercultural literary exchange, and to writer and playwright Gafar Jafarli for facilitating the publication of the article in “Shafaq.”

This collaboration stands as a testament to the enduring power of literature to bridge cultures, languages, and artistic traditions, fostering mutual understanding and creative dialogue across borders.
