Vienna, Austria – June 2026 – Dr. of Philology and World Organization of Writers (WOW) Board Member V. Klykov has announced the publication of the anniversary anthology “Vienna Palette. Collection – 2: Poetry and Prose”, released to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the literary club “Russian Poetry in Austria,” celebrated on 9 June.
Prepared by a group of literary enthusiasts with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Austria, the commemorative volume was published at the personal expense of V. Klykov. The anthology appears primarily in Russian, with selected texts presented in German, reflecting the club’s long-standing commitment to intercultural literary dialogue.

The collection brings together the works of twenty authors and two translators from German, representing a broad literary and cultural spectrum. Contributors include Russian writers living in Austria and the Czech Republic, Austrian authors, members of the Serbian community, and distinguished Russian literary figures and friends of the club, among them WOW members S. Biryukov and V. Kupriyanov.
The publication has already received significant recognition from scholars and literary observers. Included in the volume is a review by the renowned educational scholar and professor Anatoly Berdichevsky, who described the anthology as “a significant phenomenon in the literary life of Europe.” His assessment underscores the collection’s value as both a literary achievement and a document of cultural exchange across national and linguistic boundaries.
In his announcement, V. Klykov expressed gratitude to everyone who congratulated the poets of the club and its members on reaching this important milestone. He emphasized that the anthology stands as a testament to two decades of dedication to poetry, literary friendship, and the preservation and promotion of the Russian language and culture within an international environment.
Given that the anthology is published predominantly in Russian and appears during the year proclaimed by the World Organization of Writers (WOW) as the Year of the Russian Language, V. Klykov has proposed that “Vienna Palette. Collection – 2: Poetry and Prose” be included among the books competing for the WOW Best Book Award of the Year.
The publication of the anthology in Austria, despite current geopolitical complexities, and the participation of prominent Austrian authors in the project highlight the enduring capacity of literature to transcend borders, foster dialogue, and create meaningful cultural connections. As an anniversary edition, Vienna Palette is both a celebration of twenty years of literary activity and a powerful affirmation that poetry remains one of the most effective languages of understanding between peoples and cultures.
