It is the IX Festival internacional de poesía En el Lugar de los Escudos , with an extraordinary international recital will take place on Thursday, 2 July, bringing together poets, artists, and cultural figures from Latin America, Europe, Africa, and beyond in an evening dedicated to poetry, cinema, memory, and artistic dialogue.
The program opens with an introduction to the Festival, accompanied by a photographic animation by Colombian artist Marcela Sánchez. Egyptian poet Ashraf Aboul-Yazid and Argentine poet Patricia Mora, who will read the works of Perla Rotzait, will participate in this opening segment, followed by Festival memories and reflections.
The second block features a special appearance by Álvaro Bienvenida.
The third segment is devoted to cinema and poetry, with Argentine poet Noemí Correa reading texts by Perla Rotzait, followed by Argentine poet María Chapp and additional cinematic presentations.

The fourth block presents a conversation among distinguished literary figures: Venezuelan poet Alexis Romero, Portuguese poet Luís Filipe Sarmento, and Álvaro Mata Guillé, who will explore contemporary poetry and cultural exchange.
The final segment returns to Festival memories and features readings by Argentine poets Ciela Asad and Noemí Correa, alongside Mexican poet César Cortés Vega. The evening concludes with another photographic animation by Marcela Sánchez of Colombia.
The recital promises a rich encounter of voices, images, and memories, celebrating literature as a bridge between cultures and reaffirming the enduring power of poetry and artistic collaboration across continents.
